The Mission of NYSA is to promote, foster, and perpetuate the love of the game of soccer at the youth level, by developing the soccer skills, understanding, and sportmanship of each athlete. 

Northwoods Youth Soccer Association (NYSA), established in 1992, serves children from grade school though high school in the Grand Rapids, Cohasset and surrounding areas. We provide development, recreational and competitive programs suitable for all levels of players.

NYSA is run by a Board of Directors which meets the second Monday of every month during the school year at 7pm in the RJE Middle School Conference Room. This meeting is open to all interested parents and players. Contact the Board President for further information.

Substance Abuse Policy

 

          The Northwoods Youth Soccer Association conforms with the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association’s policy regarding alcohol, tobacco, and other controlled substances.  Specifically, NYSA players during the soccer season may not use, consume, have in the possession, buy, sell, or give away any controlled substance. 

 

          Violation of this policy will result in a 2-game suspension for a first offense and a suspension for the remainder of the calendar year for a second offense.
